danke schon fur der brief ! ( I dont know German for e-mail!).
Yes, you are right, I should not have started a "new" topic -I am still getting used to this new forum !
I had success (erfolg ?) with Google and you are right, the composer is Gustave Lange who wrote "Blumenlied". He was German and lived from 1830-1889. The words "Schwerstedt" & "Wernigerode" were written underneath -I think these must be places in Germany ?
I got onto the Carvoeiro.com forum through AOL, and used to use the old message boards.
Do you live in Carvoeiro - I lived there a few years ago; I worked as a gardener (gartner ?) - mainly on a large garden at the back of International school at Porches- villa called Matusadonna.
Your English is very good - I hope some day to write in German. I can speak some quite well but i have a lot to learn.
