Haven't experienced it in France but went to a lovely town in Spain just south of Barcelona several years ago with the same problem. Went back in October and it had been transformed - no poop!

Thanx for the info re 'dongles'. Think I'll give them a miss and go to Hemmingways instead! We play at South Cliff, Scarborough but had a game at Filey today in the fog!!
