Well, a T2 sold last year for over 240,000 Euros, so perhaps it is not too far off.

Most of the restaurants mentioned here are tourist or semi-tourist places in my view. A good meal can be had round here including pretty much all mentioned for 7euros and up. This not not be limited to frango, by any means. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with the restaurants in ques...

I think that you can, or at least it is done, I have no idea of the price. Have you thought of taking a coach? I believe Damas Coach Lines (Spanish) leaves from Vila Real de Sto Antonio to Seville, if not from there, certainly from Ayamonte. Your friend could take the train to Vila Real. I hope this...

I usually park somewhere near Edward VII park, there nearly always seems to be a space there.

It has been said that the Irish have been active in the Algarve market for some several years now, presumably owing to the striking performance of the Irish economy. How true this is, I cannot say, but that's the general word. If the Irish do indeed have extra money to spend, it would be unreasonabl...

I don't think that it would be such a good idea, even if you spoke excellent Portuguese, to handle a purchase on your own. You might get by doing a sale without a lawyer.

The small ones, which draw very little current, are useful for wardrobes against the damp, but in my opinion they are somewhat dangerous for general heating because of the fire hazard.

I am entering this argument..um..discussion a bit late, and I wouldn't want to be thought of as 'taking sides' if there are sides. My opinion is that those who buy property here for living in, full or part time, must surely take the investment aspect into account if only a bit. Nobody I can think of...

The Algarve is a tourism area, much of it anyway. For good or evil, that is the way it has developed, and a great deal of revenue accrues to the Portuguese state because of it. It is therefore, not surprising that those associated with tourism would wish to develop it, and as golfing developments se...

Restaurants in CVO do seem to be a bit more expensive then they need to be, not all but most. The answer for us, over these past several years, is to eat elsewhere. Many good ones in the area, not too far away. Price range for a meal with wine and coffee: 6euros(rare) to about 12euros, for an ordina...

One hears that there is some sort of trouble with the management there, and so it would be wise to investegate throughly before proceeding. Otherwise, it looks like a nice place, if expensive. Perhaps you could call on one of the owners there and enquire.

You don't really have to have a Portuguese will, your UK will is acceptable, but since it would have to be translated, and probated here, it would be easier, and likely cheaper, to have a Portuguese will--for Portuguese property only--made up here. It is not particularly expensive, and it would save...

I have a T2 in Rocha Brava, and I don't consider the management fees high especially considering all the nice grounds. They do expect you to rent through them, if you are using a management service at all. I have done it, and since they remit half of the management fees if you rent through them, the...
