Re: Lunatic staff at A Rede

According to Urban Dictionary it is not an "in joke" but a sexual comment.
In the circumstances a completely inappropriate one, forwarding a request for sexual liaison seems a strange way to attract diners.

Re: Colombos

Nothing wrong with Colombos, when visiting CVO often arrive Saturday and Sunday is "lazy" day. No driving no hassles no rushing around. Late brekkie at Colombos, newspaper, couple of beers once the sun crests the yard arm [somewhere in the world]. If it gets too warm in the sun at pavement level you...

Re: Give me somewhere to go...'Real Portugal'

If you go on from Mertola , northward, thru Serpa, Pias, Moura and Mourao to the hill top castle of Monsaraz you will be rwarded by breathtaking views across the Potuguese plain and in the other direction to Spain. A fair trek from the coast perhaps but then onward to Evora, take accommodation for t...

I think E5 is a fair price to join a walk if the leader is also assuming the role of guide. It can be money well spent to learn some info on the region and excercise at the same time.

£8.20 for a prawn cocktail ! and within site of the sea ? It is sad but with the current exchange rate and increases in price of eating out I shall miss my trip to CVO this year. I do hope things turn back around a little for next year.

Update :- I contacted 02 today and the advice was as follows: "As you are back in the country sir it is not possible to determine the fault that may have occurred. I have checked with the tech section and you are tri-band connected so all appears in order. When next you travel, if you have a problem...

TEXTING IN PORTUGAL

Just what is the score on this ? I have a mobile with a monthly tarrif with 02 UK. I have used this to text in Singapore and Australia yet my ability to text in CVO is zero. When I questioned my provider after a previous visit I was met with the glib reply " Oh ! it must be that the in country syste...
