Re: Car Import
I have decided to give the process a go later this year or once the building work on our property is completed and we make our move to Cvo. I am going to buy a new car here in the UK (if the Euro stays as it is today)- left hand drive and import it into Portugal. I will keep a detailed and unabridg...

Hi As you have probably read on other threads it isn't possible (unless you have been resident in Portugal for a while prior to wedding) to have a legally binding wedding in Portugal but you can do what myself and others have done and have a wedding blessing ceremony. My husband had previously been ...

I believe that there are different rates of tax depending on the year of the car, make etc...... but the process will be the same. I don't know the reason for the difficulties. The impression from my experiences is that there are a great deal of frustrations to be had when trying to do somethings in...

Had to come back to give a little more information to assist with your decision. The process is extremely difficult. If you believe you can go it alone then please feel free to have a try. You can of course use agents who advertise their services to do the job for you. Their costs are huge and as I ...

Do you really think that publishing all this information regarding possibly empty UK houses on a forum is a good idea? I do not wish to be a "spoil sport" but I bet it wouldn't take much trawling around to determine where some of the impending holiday makers live. Cant be too careful in today's age.

Just to add further comment to carolyn, we too travelled with our dog and stayed at Ibis hotels and the like. All very stress free, especially when we realised that they allow dogs into restaurants in France. He ate out every night with us and it was never a problem. Considering our dog is a 12 ston...

Our little pooch (a newfoundland, so perhaps not so little!!) was unfortunate enough to lick one of these caterpillars in September. We have read somewhere that they give off a scent that attracts animals to them. Anyway, as for the symptoms he suffered... first noticed exess saliva gushing from his...

Boarding Kennels
Hi there
Can anybody recommend a reliable, friendly, caring boarding kennel in the Algarve for our dog? I am aware that a few advertise in The Resident but I would appreciate any recommendations based on experience.
Many thanks
