Not sure what will be on stage on N year. Last year was a pop group. The stage was there for about 10 days with varieties of acts on every night.

We did Sintra last year and would recommend it. Evora and Beja are both excellent- We stayed in the Pousadas at both taking advantage of the Golden Years discount.

I suggest a visit to Portimao. Last year there was entertainment every night and a great fireworks display at midnight on New Years Eve. Take a bottle of Champagne and toast in the new year with the locals. Booking is advised if you want to dine, it will be busy. The weekend after sees the arrival o...
