I agree . We were in carvoeiro lat June and ate there 3 nights out of the 10 we were there.
We are returning again this year and no doubt will make a few visits!!

Dont know what the old owners were like but I found the new owners very nice, they took a liking to my little girl and treated her like a queen!!! She loved it considering she is only 18 months old!!!!!!!!

Didnt actually have the roast but can recommend the bar.Very very nice owners, we always popped in for a nightcap on our way home!!!
Althoguh Sundays were always busy so presuming the Roast was good!!!!

Does anyone rent out their apts for 5 nights rather than a week?
Possibly looking for the 23rd december for 5 nights for either a 3 bedroom or 2 x 2 bedroom... Grateful for any suggestions...

Also, are many of the restaurants open for xmas dinner or do we need to buy a Turkey????

Just returned from 10 days and out of 8 nights eating out we spent 3 of them at " A Lanterna Velha" ..... Food was excellent and the service was great.. I highly recommend the Chicken Piri-Piri, Fish Kebab and the Lamb!!!! And as for the Calysp coffee.....well!!!!!!! :lol: Very child friendly and wi...

Just returned from a fabulous 10 days in Carvoeiro but am comtemplating a return for a week over Easter 2004

Can anyone let me know if everything ie restaurants etc are all open and what i could expect from the weather (although I know that one is a gamble!!!!)

Well, I am going on a long awaited holiday to Carvoeiro on Thursday and all these comments are really starting to worry me!!! Am I really going to spend the whole 2 weeks cooking because of the restaurants charging a fortune ?? Can anyone give me a positive response??? Am I being expected to pay mor...
