I’m in the process of looking for a good estate agent in Lagos to sell my apartment. I’m led to believe that compared to the UK in Portugal you can sell your properly through more than one estate agent. Is there any advantage or disadvantages of either approach?

I own a 2 bedroom apartment in Praia da Luz in the Western Algarve and I was wondering if the price of property in this area went up or down last year and what is the forecast for this year.

My initial impresion was he was trying to have me spend some more money with him by suggesting he applied for residency for me. But I'll take on board the feebck.

He informed me that you can still have residency but not tax residency. You are only resident for tax when you spend more than 180 days in Portugal, and as I only spend a few weeks each year I would not be taxed in Portugal on my world-wide income.

The price of the apartment is 193,000 euro. My concern is the lawyer is saying that it the vendors legal right to off set a figure for the furniuture. I don't agree with him as its does not say this in the promissory contract.
