We went to Algarve 2000 as my son really took to the place and it was only 2 mins from Colina Sol. I got fed up driving up and down in vain o gettin a parking space in the town!!!

Does everything close on those days or ...

Hi again! So the final conclusions are that as we are arriving on easter sunday (Good planning Anne!!! :roll: ) the only shops likely to be open are the wee Alisuper type ones? That is fine, just get the basics to keep us going a couple of days. I take it that restaurants etc will be open all over E...

Thanks to all that have replied. Guess I have been looking in the wrong place..ie the BIG supermarkets!!! So I will just need to get up early and toddle down to the market to get my fresh provisions. Thanks again

Nooooooo...when i have gone to supermarkets LOTS of the veg and fruit seems to be quite low quality...some on display were even mouldly..and that was in a BIG supermarket in Faro !! Yeeka !!!

This may seem like a bizzare question...but...where is the best place to buy really good quality fresh fruit and veg, Supermarkets or Markets??? I have been to the algarve many times and altho the fruit and veg seems good in the restaurants etc...the supermarket stuff is a bit iffy !! :roll: Hope so...
