This is Portugal and bureaucracy works slowly. We applied and got certificates on 14/12/2020 and have heard nothing. Until then it is driving licence or passport for I.D.

Yes - for some reason roy4eyes became a persona non grata and had to revert to RoyC. Possibly since I retired I should be roynolonger4eyes

You are correct - I find it sad that from the lively days of the times up to around 2015 the forum has gone so far downhill.
