Re: Info from parents of teenagers

I recommended CVO for a friend's daughter and four of her friends who are currently awaiting their A level results. They have been in CVO for 5 days and I heard from them today. They are having an absolutely wonderful time, they are doing something different every night, they adore the place and lov...

Re: House swap

What a great thought! We sold our place in CVO and are renting a property in CVO for 4 weeks this summer. If there were a register, I would happily consider exchanging our 3 bedroomed detached house which is in a quiet suburb but a very convienient location 20 mins from London next year for a place ...

When we forward bought some years ago, we did this via our U.K bank as we felt it was the safest way. However, we have just sold and are now selling euros to convert to UK £s. We went to a large currency dealer, (though I do not know if they do small amounts). Apparently these companies are FSA regi...

bridge players

Hi
Any bridge players out there fancy a game? We are coming back in CVO on 5th September for a couple of weeks and would love to find people to while away a few afternoons/evenings.

I appreciate all for the replies and contributions. It was a fairly small amount so we have just paid it - I was just worried that it could happen again.
I do think the lawyer could have warned us about this, but too late now.
Thanks to all.

Thanks for reply. Though, I'm so puzzled. Why would the revaluation take nearly 1.5 years and without warning either before purchasing, during or after! Just come to us now and say by the way, we want more money. One of the reasons for buying was because the overheads were low!

Not heard about UK situation either, but I don't think they'd get away with backdating without warning here in UK. By the way I meant 2004 not 2005, I think it's outrageous.

HELP - someone must know something about this?

I've received a DEMAND for back property tax from the solicitor for years 2004 & 2005. Having bought a small apartment in CVO town late 2004, the amount they say I have to pay following revaluation is a further 660 euros. Has anyone else been affected? We had no idea the property was subject to a re...

Hi all
The results seem to be: A wheelchair or electric scooter hire will cost between £100 - £150 for a two week period. 2 links provided (many thanks), good websites, but delivery to CVO hefty. If you live in Almancil, you're much better off!

Is it possible to hire a wheelchair in CVO?

Hi
I have some elderly relatives coming to CVO in May and they are thinking that a wheelchair might be an advantage. Does anyone know where I can hire one for them if it does prove necessary?
