Pitch & Putt
Pitch & Putt
Does anybody know of a Pitch & Putt or Par 3 golf course within 10 miles of CVO. Having been driven crazy by the crazy golf at QDP last summer, we now wish to move up in class. Any guidance would be appreciated.
thanks

Krazy World off the N125 I'm sure somebody will know exactly where it is. I think you turn left at the Algoz roundabout but it is signposted.
It takes about 20 mins from Carvoeiro and is a nice day out for all the family. Pool, crazy golf and petting zoo. The food is okay for fast food and its not a rip-off to get in.

Well thats it then Tricks..we will have to go then won't we? I bet hes one 'animal' who wouldn't object to a bit of petting and hes certainly not defenseless is he?tricky wrote:Trust you Ellie![]()
YOU are not allowed to go and pet the poor defenseless animmals.
Rumour has it that it is Donkey's favourite place.

Sorry Roundy..Ive gone right off topic..Im easily led (not)
Hope you get your pitch and putt sorted
good luck
I took my son there a few weekends back. It was an embarrassment. THe place was filthy, the animals looked half starved, there was sh1t, garbage, weeds everywhere. All the paving areas needed replacing. You couldn't see in any of the windows as they were so dirty so god knows what the conditions were like for the animals inside. The whole place was totally run down. We stayed there for about 1 hour (my son played on the bouncy castle). The pool was shut (no water in it). It was a crazy golf rather than pitch and putt (or at least that was all I could see - perhaps I missed a bit).
Then we went back to Zoo Marine and spent the rest of the day there.

Just re read my post of yesterday and it sounded like a bit of a rant - sorry!
I think the point I was trying to make was that I hate people seeing the sloppy side of the Algarve - the advertising makes this place look brilliant and even my son, who desperately wanted it to be a great place, was happy to leave it. I heard from my OH last night that he spoke to some people who went there recently, and they agreed it was dreadful.
Can't believe it - I am so angry about the state of the place this is turning into ANOTHER rant!

I went last summer and it was a good day out, golf was fun (we went round twice!), crocodile feeding went down well with my youngest, and the show (I think it was a turtle) was really interesting, the snakes seemed happy and clean. Whilst we had lunch (quite good too) we watched a really funny magic show which wasn't meant to be funny but was a hoot! We even went and fed the animals, and JM discovered if you shake the feed machine it gives you and extra portion. the only thing we weren't too impressed with was the butterfly house, we only saw three butterflies
I'm going back this year to see if I can beat them at golf!!

Thanks for all the info. It looks like Vale de Milho gets the nod.

Vale do Milho sounds like where you want to go. You won't need anymore than a nine iron but it is a lovely little course. The only downside, as I remember, is it is cheap for what it is.
I agree with a previous post in that the clubhouse is magical with a view of the whole course. Well worth popping in before your round for a breakfast and after for a glass of soda or two!
