Does anyone know if they are still open - tried the number from FAQ which I think is wrong, and also the number from an old business card - 282 341 595 and am getting unobtainable - anyone know anything?

When we were over there in March, this restaurant was closed, and the gates were chained and padlocked.

As far as I know they were shut due to a family problem and should be open now.

Supposedly it is being opened by the same owner as Jardim das Oliveiras in Monchique, at least that is what he told me when we were up there in April.... unless he meant a different Roma.

It is the same Roma G.!

Just received an invitation for a welcome drink coming Sunday, "in occasion of the inauguration of the restaurant"

We have just come back from a second visit to Rocha Brava and had three excellent meals at Roma. We stumbled upon it by accident when Rocha Mar was closed one night. The food and service were excellent with steak being flambed to order at the table.
The best thing for us was the dedicated kid's room. There are two very nice Portuguese students employed to entertain the children while you eat. My two girls (4 and 1) thought this was fantastic and got involved in painting, play dough etc and only joined us for dessert. Bliss for them and us! I would highly recommend it and the setting with the tables around the pool is lovely.

I have lovely memories of Roma a few years ago,table by the pool,the atmosphere.....must try it again soon.

With that in mind to comfort me, Im now off to rainy old Boston!

Hi, this is my first post on forum so Hi to everyone. Going to Carvoeiro in a couple of weeks

, really missed the Roma last year

, but have read on here it is open again. can anyone tell me is it still an Italian and also does it have the same phone number ?. Many thanks
