We always enjoyed Dave when he was in jailhouse, couldn't help noticing last year however, when he was obviously just 'hired' that he packed up early every night.

We had some great nights last year. We were there last August and there must have been 10 artists performing that evening. Just when you thought everyone was there another 2/3 would arrive and join in the session. Also an American Jazz singer last April, great night but sadly only about 10 customers. I am glad Dave is back but sad to think that Roger must have lost an absolute fortune since took it on. He knew how to play a guitar too.......

As of 25th March, Dave is going to be running The Jailhouse again - 25th is his opening night and he will be performing with Chris!

Anyone know how it went?

Trust he'll be open at the end of April.

The bar looks good, spoke to Dave yesterday he intends to open at 6pm and is even speaking of perhaps doing music on a Sunday afternoon on the terrace.

Roger and his musicians from the Jailhouse Bar are now looking at a new venue...not far from Carvoeiro so watch this space!!! Roger said 'will let all of us know ASAP where our next location will be! Thanks for you love and loyalty....we are taking our good vibes, great friends and customers and loyal musicians elsewhere'...

If anyone hears about the new venue will you place it on the forum. Thank you. Bernard

So what is happening at the Jailhouse???

Last Friday, after another Happy meal ( and all the Port that goes with that territory), I visited the Jailhouse. New layout inside and Dave on top form. But...........few customers. I would guess around a dozen at most when I arrived sometime around 10.30. By 11 it was down to maybe 8, and shortly after down to 4. Dave took a break, put in some tracks and another 2 left. I spoke to him for a minute before leaving (early enough pickup next morning) and when I left at around 11.30 there was only 1 customer left, which was disappointing. I like Jailhouse and was really happy to see it reopening

Went to the Jailhouse last night it was buzzing, at least 25 plus people in all enjoying the music and Dave's unique sense of humour really happy for him. The new decor looks good and hopefully it's a big success. We also liked Roger so hope his new venue is also a success.
