Rascals , o bugger it they are all good in one way or another there really isn't one that I would avoid going to to be honest , can't wait till September .

I was going to say something about bistro 72 but that was closed down yesterday.......................not a big suprise, as my niece got very ill after eating in there a few months ago that was one to miss.

Any further news on Bistro 72? Fly over 1 July and usually on my list of watering holes.

Only going over for a fleeting visit and will no doubt get the Bistro news from my chums in the other licensed establishments I visit!!!

Raithstar, your Dad visiting anytime soon?

Jorge, Guiness? In Portugal? In all my visits I don't recall ever having anything to drink that was made outside Portugal!!

Rosa's Bar, 1€ a bottle of beer, at todays rate 73 pence!!!! Cannae whack that! Paid £2.85 for a Budweiser last week!

My case is looked out.

Smudger , me and the wife are out 26th sept 4 nights in Alvor ( never been) then 7 nights Carvoeiro . Have got my dad booked up for oct 24th until Nov 21st and have booked his winter trip Jan 3d till April 4th . I am going to try and get out for a Saturday till Tuesday late January to visit him if the wife lets me escape lol . Booked my mate and his wife and kid up for a week late October they have never been before . I think I should get some kind of commission from the Portuguese Tourist Board for all the people I introduce at the last count I have had 11 people over to Carvoeiro who had never heard of the place . Might catch you for a beer if your about when were over . Paul

The Guinness in bradys is excellent. The Guinness in Roundup, Harry's etc is ok , can that they pour an then put onto a kind of ' shaker' thingy. Black Stove had the best Guinness, ( they still have a bar in Alvor). During the day I would drink beer, prefer Sagres to Super Bock, but at night beer just doesn't cut it , has to be the black stuff.

Lol Smudger , I had a very good day yesterday at Royal Ascot had Undrafted ridden by Dettori at 14-1 then followed that up with Interception in the next race which won at 10-1 but I got 25-1 in the morning had £20 on it . So a nice profitable day for me

What made Ayr worse was my friend who had never been in a bookies let alone a race course, had 2 winners and 3 places out of the seven races!!
