Which is your favourite bar in Carvoeiro and why?

We have such a massive choice of places to go for a drink, a coffee, a cocktail and everything in between but which is your favourite bar in Carvoeiro and why?
Are there any that are good in the early evening, where is the best place to go to watch the sunset, where do you go to dance, who has the best live entertainment, where is the best service, which bar shows all the live sports and where do you enjoy the food?
Can't wait to hear your suggestions!

The service and atmosphere in Carvoeiro bar is excellent, the staff are terrific, always a good time and a great spot for having a nose at whats going on outside on restaurant hill.

Charlies is a fantastic spot for watching the sunset, they are always really friendly and the cocktails are top class, the real deal with proper ingredients, best we ever had.

We also enjoy the roundup for live music and karaoke and Big Will is always very welcoming.

Lots and lots of others we really enjoy but the above would be our top three for sure, getting thirsty thinking about it

big subject this! depends who with and when……..What I like about CVO is that it can be all things to all men (and women) so ..

Mungos for a laugh and a late night drink and giggle
Hemmies for all day drinks and sports
O Barco (I know its not just a bar) for general people watching
Rascals…..whoever runs it at the time…good views
Dans chips…..wherever he is working as he keeps a good house and is a bit of fun
Aaron….Nuff said…Harrys …nuff said

The joker in its day…..we could go back to Charlie Parkers days…but won't

Oh and Adega! only for a late night off season pint!

There are many great bars in CVO. One of the most underrated bars is Cheers Bar, great cocktails and Monica & Kurt are really friendly. Great place for a quiet chat in a relaxed atmosphere. Can't understand why some of the bars allow smoking inside - I wonder if that's is the only reason some people go to them.

No surprise that mine is the Jailhouse especially with Dave playing , was over there in May and spent a few nights dancing the night away there. Also like Round up, Bradys & Charlys bar and the one opposite Oasis for the football and monkey nuts ! (forgotton it's name - improvista ???).
Had a fabulous week in May the weather was glorious probably the hottest we've known it at this time of year , had some great meals but think the highlight was the chateaubriand at A Gale - a last night treat for us already looking forward to September for our next visit.

Very true American Pie and this topic only scratched the surface, its definitely the best selection I have seen in a holiday resort whilst also retaining some character and not having a mile long strip of tacky crap!

Cocktail garden for fab cocktails and lovely hosts. Boa vida for large glasses of wine and banter with sue and dave

The Shell Bar at the top of restaurant hill, great staff!

Cocktail Garden for the hosts and a laugh with the owners plus the wife likes a cocktail!
Bistro 72 for a relaxing beer with a great (sized!) bar snack
Rascal's for the view once you have climbed the steps (not easy with a pushchair but worth it!)
Basically, been going to CVO and not been in a bad bar yet!

Hi Guys,

Great Subject - & right up my street!

My Faves - (& in no particular order) :-

1. Rascals - Great for a late afternoon / early evening beer - what a view!
2. Round Up Bar - Always lively & great for a sing song!...Willy always fun & cheery!
3. CVO Bar - Super, chilled out, layed back bar - Great for an beer or two either before or after a trip to A Gale!!
4. Brady's Bar - Great if you fancy a bit of live music.
5. The Poolside Bat ar Algar Seco Apartments - What Superb views!!!!....& probably the biggest salad in the world!
6. O Barco - Great for a beer or two after coming off the beach.
7. We dont mind a quick drink in Smilers in late afternoon ....For a bit of people watching!

Back in the day, we had some absolutely top nights in the Jailhouse, but unfortunately we've not been in for the last couple of years, we really should pop in for a beer or two!

I can honestly say that I've never been in a bad bar in CVO, (We've been in all the previously mentioned bars!!) - they're all great in their own way, & all so friendly....Top Resort & Top people!

Looking forward to our trip later in the year....I can taste the Superbock (or Sagres) already!!
