from the photo seems the cat is fairly distinctive, hopefully this will help people spot it on its travels and ensure a safe return home.

I have passed this info onto "Corrina" she is affectionately known as the crazy cat lady and looks after dozens of feral (and peoples cats) in our area. She looks after some in Sesmarias and Ferragudo so Hopefully she may see your lovely moggie - good luck

That's very kind of you Maccasa. I spoke to my good lady earlier this evening and there have still been no sightings.
Still, the more eyes that are looking the better,

We have "mislaid" several cats over the years and apart from one which was run-over we have got them all back eventually - one was away nearly 3 weeks. Don't give up, where you are there is plenty of good moggie hunting territory - probably developed a taste for rabbit by now.

Our cat went missing for four days and was locked in next doors shed. Despite asking all the neighbours to check this one obviously didn't. We only found him when he was so fed Up he started miaowing at he top of his voice. So don't given up but don't take your neighbours word because they may not have checked properly

Wish I could come out and start a 'cat hunt' with lots of like minded people checking out and about. Tis even more distressing for the poor thing cos being deaf.
Good luck and I am really thinking of you as I know it must be horrible for you all at the moment. Keep smiling and lets hope puss comes home soon with a smile on its face.

Hi baggysallyjane. Yes it very distressing for me. The weather is terrible so much rain which she doesn't like. Also if she is locked in somewhere I don't know how long she can survive without food or water. She his now disappeared for 8 days. People have been wonderful on the forum with their advice. I have not given up hope yet.xx

Hi just to let everyone know my cat turned up tonight - I am so relieved and she seems not too bad - hungry and now she is settled in front of the fire. We are all happy now.
Thank you everyone on the forum for all your kindness xx

That is such good news. I have been following your reports all week.
We have a couple of house Cats who don't, luckily, get out of the Garden, however when they go in to hiding and don't wish to be found, panic sets in.
So glad one lucky Cat is home safe and sound.
