Hopefully this will be resolved quickly but the press headlines won't help property buyer's confidence along with the Met digging up Praia da Luz !!!

This was in the press alot last year. If they go ahead surely they will have to prove that the property was within the designated distance at the time of the act. With coastal erosion many properties will now be nearer the sea than when the act was brought in/the property built. Another ill conceived idea from the Portuguese government. If it goes ahead i can see lots of expensive court cases, taking years. May cost the government more than it makes and will certainly damage the property market. Spain put off buyers with their land grabs - lets hope Portugal does not go the same way.
