Monte Santo Resort
Re: Monte Santo Resort
This appears to be the only topic you have ever commented on during your time on the forum, many members try to help each other by exchanging information and offering advice, particularly those with problems.Penny7 wrote:By looking back through the responses you will see that the question has already been answered.
Snaj1 raised the topic but isn't an owner, and I have read every comment again and at no point do you say you are an owner either, but you might be?
If you need to remain "under the radar" because private rentals are disallowed or for some other good reason, best not use this forum as many have access to it.

Hi Widge,
I am not sure whether the last comment is directed at myself or Penny.
From my aspect I am coming out in May with my family and was nervous about paying for an apartment in case everything went pear shaped due to the extra charges which may have prevented from staying.
Trust this ok

Of course snaj1, I am not a moderator, I was just concerned that Penny7 seemed to be very sensitive about divulging her interest in the resort and wondered if that was because she was concerned about repercussions.snaj1 wrote:Hi Widge,

Hope you & your family have a great holiday in May.
Re: Monte Santo Resort
Hi Widge, you have misunderstood. I am not at all sensitive, nor am I an owner. My first answer was informative and hopefully helpful for Snaj1. Trying to read other things into it is of no help to anyone. I am sure you will have an excellent holiday Snaj1.

Re: Monte Santo Resort
Well I am an owner at Monte Santo and I sent a pm to Penny but she has not responded, as yet. At no time have I ever felt pressurised by anyone into joining the rental scheme. I did, out choice, two years ago for a few months but decided that I would not do it again. We did not buy the place as a income generator. We bought it as a holiday that we could just turn up to and find all of our stuff where we'd left it. I am the first to acknowledge that there has been problems with the management but I feel that things are running a bit smoother just now.

The resort gets some very good feedback on trip advisor & of course it's licenced & legal so you know that if you rent a property there you have protection from the rogue traders.

To Everyone who has posted. Thanks for your comments. We are looking forward to coming to monte santo resort. The feedback on here has been useful. Snaj
Re: Monte Santo Resort
Hi
We have just returned from Monte Santo resort at the weekend and I have to say as a family we loved it. So much so we want to go back next year.
The facilities were excellent and we found the staff to be very friendly and very helpful.
We enjoyed Happy Hour at the pool bar most days and the the children became very fond of the staff at the children a club. I have read some negative comments re the attitude of the staff but in the 2 weeks were there we only had positive experiences. We are in the restaurant once in the evening and the food was stunning.
I fully recommend this resort to families as there were plenty of children running round , but all in all very well behaved.
Now to look for an apartment for next year ....
Regards

Re: Monte Santo Resort
Hi,
Sounds an interesting place. you say its great for families, whats it like for non family orientated people and what does 'cable tv' mean. Has it English channels?
We are contemplating somewhere for a week next June and we are open to ideas but it has to have a heated pool, preferably close to 29 degrees and tis only for the two of us.
Do not want to impose on anyone, hence a hunt around.
M.S sounds pleasant but really do not want to be where there are hoards of children about if we are in an apt.

Hi
There aren't many tv channels because the satellites moved
There were a number of couples without children . The pool is not heated and is cold if there is a wind blowing or on a cloudy day.

Re: Monte Santo Resort
There's a nice warm indoor pool. My grandkids used to have a swimming lessons there and I took advantage.
Re: Monte Santo Resort
The indoor pool is nice and they have a sauna and a steam room. Oh and a jacuzzi. They offer a day pass for this and the small gym but prices change depending on the season We can see monte santo outside pool and apartments from our place and I have never seen it overly busy
Re: Monte Santo Resort
Many thanks
