Annual Travel Insurance
Columbia want to load £20 onto our annual fee because I hurt my back and had to have physio. We told them we would shop around before accepting. Any suggestions on other companies. We currently only spend around 25 days a year in Portugal.

Thanks for the advice. Seems even with the loading Columbia is a good deal.
Re: Annual Travel Insurance
Stay Sure are brilliant, even after my husband had a heart attack we were still able to have an annual
policy with them others would only sell us a one trip policy.

If you think the insurance is free what is the eighty quid a year paying for?maccasa wrote:I have an HSBC platinum card - which costs £80/yr, but we get free worldwide travel cover

Clearly you don't have "high end" credit card with all of its other benefits and services, including cash back on purchases.

But if you have a pre-existing ailment it is not worth anything. Check the small print.
Re: Annual Travel Insurance
We have RBS at £12 per month. Gives annual worldwide cover, Green Flag for all cars, extended warranty on white goods (had a new fridge freezer earlier this year when the other packed up just under 2 years old) and many other bits. My pre existing ailment (hypertension) and prescriptions is declared with no effect on the policy or premium. I think well worth the money. The claim we made for the fridge/freezer was handled very efficiently.

Mine are covered - got a call from them just before I came out and went through it all as the kids are no longer included - just me, the dearly beloved and my high blood pressure.logicbob wrote:maccasa wrote:I have an HSBC platinum card - which costs £80/yr, but we get free worldwide travel cover

Re: Annual Travel Insurance
Check the policy Logic - there is no "policy cancellation" for pre-existing conditions, merely you should disclose them and in some cases they will not cover you for that condition when you are away.
This small print is a real problem when you cant read it with bad eyesight - oops! haven't told them about that either!
