Lagoa
Re: Lagoa
If you are going to the Financas office you'll need more than a couple of hours, and something stronger than coffee afterwards.joeysoap wrote:I only walked around Lagoa once and on that occasion thought it was pleasant enough. Its not an Albufeira, Portimao, Lagos or Faro by any stretch but IMO it's worth a couple of hours. Going to the financas office during this trip so might well have a little walk around with a coffee or something similar to round it off.
Re: Lagoa
Restaurant Lamim is on the Rua da Misericordia which is past the post office (the right hand side), across a cross road, and up the hill. There is the Igreja Da Miserecordia (church)on the right hand side and the restaurant is down a side street on the right immediately afterwards. There used to be a shoe shop at the end of the street and a florists and electrical shop opposite the restaurant. Hope that is understandable!
Re: Lagoa
Took my number and after about 15 mins I was next to one to being called. Unfortunately two girls with the a very large folder of files were before of me. I suspect they were working for either solicitors or fiscal reps.(or maybe thats normal?) either way about 1 hour later they completed their business and it was my turn. The gentleman I was dealing with had perfect engish and was civil and pleasant to deal with but unfortunately stated that I could not operate a DD at this stage. disappointed with that. however he ran off a copy of my bill and said I could pay it at any MB, in my bank or back in Finances later as they pay department was closed for the day. Also said that I would have to come back another day, as the section deals with change of address was closed (it was was after 5pm so getting to financas just before 4pm was not a good idea) and change the address for correspondence to my home address thus eliminating my fiscal rep and authorise my bank (in Portugal) to pay the account if I forward them the bill (or I can pay it myself in April or April/Sept next year). so a second visit is required either way, unfortunatelysam wrote:If you are going to the Financas office you'll need more than a couple of hours, and something stronger than coffee afterwards.joeysoap wrote:I only walked around Lagoa once and on that occasion thought it was pleasant enough.
