Re: 3 more sleeps :o)
Too hot, too windy, too crowded.
The tide is always out when one wants to go swimming.
Beer is too cold, fizzy and expensive. Decent real ale impossible to find.
Cornish pasties, cream teas, fish and chips, elvers, real shortcrust pies etc. are rubbish here.
Far too many people here for the size of the place so nowhere to park.
I reckon Blackpool or Brighton would be much better - and just think, no flying with those horrible Ryanair people or Gatwick security.
Hope that answers your questions Holiday1.
P.S. if you (and others - nothing personal, you see) take my advice perhaps other locals like myself could get on CVO beach and with cheaper beer

Just think, if i didnt visit once or twice a year, i might believe you!!!
For the record i don't drink-so might crowd your beach but won't take your beer
I am assuming its as fab as last year

Don't listen to Roy it's gorgeous out here, I know Roy apart from the bl**dy tourists
, but where would the Alagarve be without them & the ex-pats? We were on Gale beach yesterday, very uncrowded on the east side though the west side was much busier, the swimming was great high tide between one & two, it can't be much different at Carvoeiro. We were in Carvoeiro over the weekend & it didn't seem to busy. You'll have a great time.

Only one rule Stacey - find the local Oculist, pop in and tell him how many sleeps you have before you go home again - trust me - he'll love you for it!
