Travel - Algarve to Alicante

How practrical is this journey by car, train, aeroplane? Looking into possibility of attending international football match between Spain and Scotland during my visit to Algarve in October.

How many people going to see match. Its possible. I have a travel agency with buses so could work out cheaper but still expensive.

10 hour drive with motorway the whole distance.

Air Berlin fly via Palma - we went for €70 return last year.

Thanks for replies. Was just planning to go by myself. Doesnt look like it will be practical. Checked Air Berlin site but no flights on the days I am looking for. Will make do with watching in a CVO boozer.
