Heat wave
Re: Heat wave
How is the weather in October normally?
Is it warm enought for the beach?

Re: Heat wave
Any local update on the weather? We're out next Friday but seen a downward trend in the temps. What's it like in the evenings? Still shorts and t-shirts?

I've been following the weather for the last few days and unfortunately the trend has been towards greater humidity and poss thundery showers on a couple of days next week. Typical! Still hot though.Phil wrote:Any local update on the weather? We're out next Friday but seen a downward trend in the temps. What's it like in the evenings? Still shorts and t-shirts?
Re: Heat wave
Having arrived last Monday to the cloud/drizzle and been surprised that it continued until late morning Tuesday, when I kept sending texts home about 'a hint of sun' the replies I was getting about the need to put the fire on convinced me that I'd rather be in overcast cvo than cold Berkshire.
It was warm and surprisingly warm in the evenings so that it was possible to sit outside until 10pm or so.

Re: Heat wave
Apologies if this is not the right heading under to which to raise this question. My wife and I have unexpectedly been given the opportunity to vist CVO in late February/early March next year. We have never been to CVO at this time of year before can anyone provide information of weather patterns then and what is the town like for eating places?
many thanks

As regards eating places then search the forum, you will find plenty of choice and advice on cost etc etc
Now then about the weather....I have been loads of times in Jan / Feb / March and it really is pot luck, I would say however that it will be chilly of an evening, and PROBABLY sunny (ish) during the day, I have had a wet week in May and a "cracking the flags Xmas" so go prepared and you will love it

Re: Heat wave
My family and I had a lovely week in February, we were there up to and including the 20th. the weather was really nice through the day, although there was a strong breeze on occassion and if you weren't sheltered, it was a bit chilly. I wore shorts a and a tee shirt all week but needed a fleece at night when the sun went down.

Re: Heat wave
Many thanks - CM - apologies for not making myself clear - I was actually wondering if the eating places would be open in Feb/March.
