As far as I know... they didn't happen. We can hear Fatacil from our house in the evening and have sat outside listening to the many concerts in the evening, liked the Abba tribute band they were good, but last night.... NOTHING.... I don't think they turned up.....

Yes the were there. My ears are still ringing from the great base notes, and by far the best live group they've had at Fatacil.

Takes me back to another hot August night at Wembley in 1979 when I first saw them at the same gig as The Who, together with another little known group called AC/DC.

Ah those were the days.

"The Stranglers" were there as the closing act on the last night of Fatacil. Saw them with my own eyes about 25 yards from the stage. they were on for an hour or so. I,m not really a follower of them but have to say they were very good indeed.

Think I was at the Wembley concert as well, was it with Nils Lofgren also? I remember at the end Pete Townsend told the crowd that they (The Who) were not doing an encore and everybody should F... Off home. Happy days

The very same concert, but I didn't mention Nils Lofgren, because I didn't think many or any on here would know who he was.

Don't remember much about the end of the concert, too much cheap vino colapso.

Great to see NIls back with the Boss. I remember when the Boss played Newcastle and i managed to get a chat with Nils, said he couldnt do his back flips as he had hurt his back at Wembley. Happy days :D
