I always use Drive4fun in Portugal & they're great.

Flew with Easyjet to Glasgow last weekend & hired a car from Europcar their car rental partner.

Bold claims include "no hidden extras" etc.

Well they just added £20 to the invoice & took it from my card without authorisation. A phone call & 20 minutes of wasted time reveals "human error" took money by mistake.

Beware !!!!!!!!!!!

send them a claim for the phone call and expenses - you'll get at least a credit voucher for your next hire

We are looking for car hire from Bournemouth airport and Europcar through the EasyJet website are offering the best deal as they include a free additional driver. BUT, the following warning is posted on the website-

"Warning: Your pick-up time is out of operating hours. You must enter your easyJet flight number on the Book and Pay page in order for us to serve you. If you are not taking an easyJet flight, please note that additional charges may apply"

We are not flying with Easyjet so are a bit worried about the "additional charges", especially as there is nowhere that we can see on the website that will tell you what these charges are!! And now based on what Widge has said I think we will go elsewhere!

Thanks for the info Sam, I have sent an email to customer services at Europcar asking what the additional charge would be if any, but no response as yet!
