New Rascals

Post by Gary/Gaynor »

Gary and I have just come back from yet another great trip to Carvoeiro and decided to pop into the New Look Rascals , what a delight. We had several trips up the hill to enjoy the lunch time menu and of course the sun. Last day, Rachel made us a lovely Sunday lunch of crispy pork with all the trimmings. I wish both her and Sergio all the best in their new venture, we will be back..... :)

I would like to echo Gary and Gaynor. Had a really nice lunch at Rascals during March. What was refreshing was the service, the lunch menu which was not the norm and not as expensive as Smilers and the rest around the square. Will be going back in June and try the evenings as well

And Sergio is a dab hand and trying out new cocktails!
Obviously, as a cvo.com resident, I feel it is my duty to test them out and make sure they are nice.

I however had to share my new cocktail with Gambo yesterday!

Rascals

I've heard it does the best Sunday Lunch. Is this true? I'll be in Carvoeiro again this summer and feel the need to try one!

Facing the beach, it is up the hill on your right on which Sully's Bar is at the bottom. It is on the right about 20 metres up. The stairs leading up to it are behind you leading back down the hill . . . but going up!

The new Rascals must be one of the nicest bars in town. I made several visits over the last week and found it a really pleasant relaxing place to go. Reasonable prices and a wide range of good snacks. Whilst I did not eat Sunday lunch, the tables were all taken and the food looked good. I am sure that the new owners have a great recipe for success.

Visited Rascals last week for lunch and have to agree with all the previous comments here.
Very reasonable prices and good, friendly service.
Seems to be one of those places, that due to it's location, you probably wouldn't try, unless you have been before or it had been recommended.

Will definately be going back.

Why is it always closed when I go! the other day it was 11 am and last sunday at 8.30pm both times closed, how can they make a living. If I remember sergio never did like hard work, maybe thats why!

Yet another nasty remark Carvoeiro
Are you a wind-up merchant or do you really get off making personal remarks?
Each time I've been in Rascals, Sergio and Rachel are always working hard.
