sorry martin you are incorrect here it is true

in the first days of satellite that was our party peice using a dustbin lid to receive signals for a satellite reciever
if it was a plastic or rubber dustbin lid it would need metal foil as its only the electronics part on the end of the dish[lnb] that recieves the signal after it has been reflected from a metal object weve used the side of our vans also

using a bin lid for sat tv reception..no wonder everyone says tv is rubbish these days
