Sand Coloured Tiles

Post by Gazza »

Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase those sand coloured tiles often seen around pools and on terraces. I would prefer used specimens as I need them to replace a few that are cracked around the place.

Many Thx

If they are Santa Catarina tiles then you can get them very easily -they are very common here - maybe get a builder or tiler to check

The shop in Porches, on the right coming from Carvoeiro, has some stock. We bought them there a few months ago. If you see the toilets outside - that's the place.

Thanks to K'teee and DaGi for the suggestions. I shall pay them a visit during my next trip and devise a DIY ageing process to weather them before replacing the broken items.

Gazza,
Believe it or not many Brits out here, call the bathroom/tile centre at Porches "Lavatory Corner" (i.e. as Dagi says lots of loos outside and the shop is situated on a corner.) By the way if you turn into the turning from the main road (EN125), with the shop then on your left, take the first on your left, left again and left again....you can park quietly and off the main road and walk straight into the shop via the rear entrance etc. But you can also park on the main road (there is sort of a layby). N.R.

Great thanks NR for the precise directions - I think I have a vague recollection of the loos outside a shop on the N125 in that area.

Do the Thursday drinks for CVO.com posters still take place?
