clay pigeon shooting

Went clay pigeon shooting for the 1st time at the weekend with H & some friends, really enjoyed it, though I couldn't understand why everyone kept shouting duck!! whenever it was my turn, I didn't see any ducks we weren't even near any water

. Still had a brill' day & even though my shoulder's killing me today I wondered if there was the same sort of thing available in the Algarve.

guest will probably be telling me I've posted this in the wrong place, wasn't sure were to put it (if you'll pardon the expression) but thought there might be somewhere not too far from Carvoeiro with the facilities.

I know that there is a Gun club (clube de tiro) at Vilamoura. Try this website for more information www.fptac.pt/clubes_zona_sul.htm website for the Federation of GunClubs and hunters etc.

This one caught my eye Blue, as I have a cousin who organises/runs clay pigeon shoots here in UK (hes quite expert shot too)...
Just 'googled' this and there seems to be quite a lot in Algarve-it comes up on holiday Golf sites along with tennis, squash etc ?
So think you will be lucky

A friend of mine does it somewhere near Villamoura.......shoot clay thingys that is.......but he wants to do it somewhere else nearer his house in western algarve... and as I have a lt of land here I said he can do it on my land..but Im a bit dopy...about these things...do you need special machines to launch the thingys or what ??

Hi Blue. There seems to be some sort of shooting range near Alcantarilha in a place called Fonte Negra. Not 100% sure about it, but may be worth checking out, as not too far from Carvoeiro/Silves.

It's halloween - no problems with clay or real pigeons flying at this time !!

Twigs fallen off your brooom ? Bet your mum's out and about !!

I see duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude's still sitting in front of his PC as well - green he ain't.

yes there is, it's a bit dificult to get there if you don't know the area, but i'm sure bruxinha will get you directions
