A local paper in the UK carried an advertisement for garden sheds for many years. It included the line "No VAT payable if ordered with erection" I never discovered who had the job of confirming that VAT didn't have to be paid.

Morning G. I wondered when you were going to get strict with us :D

I am down in Carvoeiro tomorrow, so if you would like to tell me exactly where the site is I will go and have a look and do some secret squirrel stuff

I never said that, I was merely pointing out that the original topic about a site under construction was turning into a tounge-in-cheek debate about multiple erections (don't tell me you missed the double-entendre?)

As the author of the original question, I just want to make sure that what ever they put up -there, avoided the E word, is authorised and all of board.

I went up there for a look this morning. I couldn't see any aviso notice displaying the construction licence nº etc etc. I think I was in the right place but I will double check with G. There were quite a lot of people milling about, so may go back when it is quieter to have a closer look.

By the way, anyone is entitled to go to the local Câmara (in this case Lagoa) to see planning applications for the area and to look at the planning files. You can also put in a complaint if you so wish by requesting a form to complete.

Cranes

Post by Gazza »

From memory the cranes are 300 - 400 NE of Monte Servo. The development looks as if it could be a single story building covereing a large plot, but I have not been that close to confirm. I am over in a few weeks time and will take a walk over to the site. I will be more than a little surprised if it is hotel as the plot is a fair way from town.

Thank God that talk about cranes & erections have stopped; Sharen was beginning to eye me up in anticipation!
