Looking for bargain flights for Crimbo and New Year.

They are a joke going into Faro, check out Monarch to Lisbon, £139 out 22nd back 3rd. Mike

Got so cheesed off with the price of flights to Faro for short notice trips this summer that I looked at Seville instead - Ryanair fly to there. (A return flight from Stansted 28th Dec to 2nd Jan is currently £168)

Anyone tried this as a route to Carvoeiro - or would it take too long to drive back into Portugal ? (Longer than driving from Lisbon, for example ?)

MyTravelLite always seem to be cheap we flew with them on a sunday last year to faro and they were far cheap than there rivals for a sunday in the main weeks return. It would be cheap to get a single out then by a single back from the airport just have whats going

MyTravelLite will cease to exist at the end of the summer season.

So no more cheapy deals with them...

So far the prices have been silly .... £460 down to £339; far more than I want to pay

I'll look at Seville or Lisbon. I suppose Seville is nearer?

Hi Mike

If you could fly from Leeds/Bradford you can pick up a flight going out on Thursday 22nd December 2005 returning on 8th January 2006 for £162.82. (incl taxes)

We have flown with them a few times and they seem ok.

It's a very easy drive from Lisbon airport down to the Algarve, straight down the motorway. Even I can manage it without getting lost and I have no sense of direction at all.

my friend regularly picks people up from Seville who come to see him. He says it's a 2.30 hour drive but the flights are much cheaper.

Flying out Thursday 22 December and returning Thursday 5 January with Monarch scheduled from Gatwick to Lisbon is £140 return including taxes

£186 return Gatwick to Faro with BA incl. taxes

£105 return Heathrow to Lisbon with BA this time Wed 21 to Jan 4 incl. taxes

By the way Lisbon to CVO took me 2 hours and the same vice versa.
