How much is
"the level of income that is above that provided to beneficiries of the Portuguese Social security system"
How many euros per year?

This means the minimum wage I think.

You have to be able to show a bank statement with 14 x minimum wage which is currently Euros 374.60 or Euros 5,244.40

so if you are not retired, your income has to exceed this amount?

How do you prove it if you are starting a business? IS it just a capital lump sum you need?

I don't think you need to show "proof of income" but just that you have at least that amount in the bank to support you for one year! You just produce an up to date bank statement with at least that in.

Actually the way things are that amount might just do a couple of months!
