We went on the St. Patrick's Society walk on Saturday - and very good it was too - there were Pats and ex-Pats and ex-pats there and everyone spoke pretty good English!! 
Even the German ex-pat Pat - if you get my meaning - spoke English, but no-one seemed to speak Erse (or whatever it is) - so with a bit of practice you should cope linguistically when you are here

We seem to have off the subject here. What is this "Erse" I hear about? 
Is it something like "Gaeilge"? That's the Irish language! 
Anyway, I only get twitchy and sarky (They sound a right pair of twits.) now and then so don't mind me!
The problem of the recharger plug has been resolved by "Her Indoors."
Apparently we have an adapter on a travel iron already.
I never intended the topic to get 'electrifying',
and to 'shock' anyone by blowing a 'fuse'.
The only 'charge' against me is trying to buy a 'plug'.
I will be more 'positive' in the future and not give off 'negitave' vibes.
We are in Cvo in May to 'recharge' our batteries,
and hope to see the 'light'.
