Taxi Fares from Faro Airport to Carvoeiro

I have looked in vain for a tariff of taxi fares from Faro Airport to Carvoeiro (or vice versa). Please can someone help me with an approximate cost?

Hi,

We paid 55 euros from Faro to Rocha Brave on a Sunday (25/5/03) and it cost 58 Euros for the journey back to Faro on June 1st.

Hope this helps! It should be a little cheaper if you want to go just to the village itself as Rocha Brava is 3 km further out.

The normal midweek fare is Airport/Carvoeiro - 50€. Carvoeiro/Airport - 45€. The reason for the difference in price being that the taxi has to use the carpark on the collection, but only drops you off on the return.
I would be interested to hear some opinions on something which happened this afternoon. Some friends of mine who are staying in Albufeira arrived in a taxi. The fare was 24€, and after spending the afternoon, they went to get a taxi back to their apartment. The take it or leave it price quoted was 35€. Any comments on this, or is it 50% further going back ?

They asked at the Taxi rank in the town centre, and after refusing the price quoted, they contacted their complex in Albufeira who had ordered the taxi which brought them here, but they were told they had to get a taxi at Carvoeira. The final outcome was, they waited until the three drivers who had quoted them had gone out on calls, swallowed their pride, and took the first one available.
