Airport Admin fee
Re: Airport Admin fee

What rental firm was this out of interest?
How did they check the car for damage etc?
It seems dangerous to leave the car outside unless a rep was immediately getting in and driving away.
Are all the reps from different firms lining up on the roundabout?
Re: Airport Admin fee
We used Travel rent. All reps were stood at the barrier which marks the entry to P4
yes, car all checked and removed immediately, unsure where to. All paperwork matched and familiar faces were present. P4 empty!

Has anyone arrived and had to collect a car - from Travelrent?
Re: Airport Admin fee
Its appears to be a number of car hire firms, the ones who used the hut at P4, not just travel rent

Re: Airport Admin fee
Does that mean the 'hut' is not in use now?
Re: Airport Admin fee
I'm wondering if this is only the case as people returning today may not have been charged the 15 euros extra?
We are using Travel Rent in April & have been told have to give them 15 euros on collection so I'm assuming that we will be able to drive back into P4.
As already stated if not this will cause chaos when busy & also dangerous especially for people with children. It won't take long for a queue to affect the roundabout as well.

It's 'apparent' that this has been well thought through - situation normal

Re: Airport Admin fee
Me thinks I'll drop a few lines to the Algarve Tourist Board and suggest they consider whether this additional fee will have an adverse effect on tourism. Going on holiday people want straight forward procedures and processes getting to/from their destination. And sourcing car hire to find 'down the line' there is an additional/(optional?) admin fee for collecting/dropping off hire car could be a deal breaker if looking at other destinations away from the Algarve.
Just saying.
Just saying.
