Wood stain/preserver

Our verandah is held up by a socking great slab of wood the size of a couple of railway sleepers. I intend treating it to a dollop of woodstain when we go out in October and would appreciate some advice on what's best. The actual wording on the tin would be good (ronsealo or whatever).

We've successfully used Bondex Mate on hardwood louvred shutters.

I've used the CIN shop, opposite the entrance to Fatacil, on several occasions, and always found the staff to be very helpful.

That's the one, helped me when we had to re-varnish our outside doors.

We got our paint and varnish at CIN, really helpful people who know their stuff.
