no longer updated - Tolls on the A22

Had a check when we drove down in October via Seville. There was no gantry after crossing the bridge before the exit to Castro Marim and Vila Real thence to the 125. I am sure others can confirm this.

I am still waiting to hear from Travelrent who we use every trip, so guess by now about 30 times. I note Zit autos note. as I understand it Zit and TR are owned by brothers, although maybe they are at war. I will probably have to wait another week or so when we arrive. Has anyone else used TR since 8.12.11? Hubby says going to use the EN125. Does anyone know the mileage on the motorway as opposed to A22?

Licy, I think you mean "EN125 as opposed to A22"? My recollection is that, to J7, the 125 is a couple of kilometers less than the A22.

I used Travelrent last week and was informed that any motorway tolls would be debited to my credit card, and that they would email me details of the charges. Returned Thursday and as of now nothing on my credit card and no emails.

EMM was also given the same information but I can't say which company he uses.

When we collected our car on saturday we were asked for CC details , we will be emailed when the charges appear so that we can authorise the payment.

Just put the number plate in the top box and the code in the bottom and it will tell you how much you owe them. It is all in lower case and do not forget the dashes in between the numbers as shown.

what I do know is that if it relates to my hire and keeps increasing until travelrent charge my credit card then I will be cancelling my bookings for Feby, April, and June and revert to Hoppa.

Apart from the Post Offices you can also pre and/or post pay the tolls in shops offering the Payshop service.

My Portuguese isn't very good, but it looks as if you can pay at the tobacconist at Intermarche.
