Hello, I'm going to Carvoeiro for the first time next week and was wondering if there are any cash points in the town... thanks Claire.

Yes, there are ATMs in Carvoeiro and at the airport. Your bank will probably make a charge for each withdrawal so you might like to check how much this will be.

Claire, I was there in June/July and have just got my bank statement. On a withdrawel of 200Euros I was charged a total of £6.50. It varies fractionally depending on the exchange rate.That comprised a withdrawl charge and an ertf ( I assume that's an exchange rate charge). Enjoy your holiday. I've been for the last 4 years and wouldn't hesitate to go back again. A huge variety of bars and more restaraunts/cafe's than you can shake a stick at.

i remember it was cheaper to get money from the ATM then to exchange it in holland. of course with our *cough* wonderfull *cough* euro we dont have this problem anymore

I agree!! We were in CVO late March and used the ATMs a few times. The charge for each withdrawal was £1.50, regardless of amount. No other charges applied, just the going exchange rate for GBP to Euro on the day of the withdrawal.
