Hi Geoff
I found this on the internet regarding hunting.
Hunters: Hunting is allowed, in the season – November to February – on Thursdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. The amount of hunting has lessened considerably over the last few years due to government restrictions, but it is still wise to be alert for the sound of gunfire on appropriate days. However, unlike the situation some years ago, it is no longer necessary to avoid hunting days altogether.
Probably wise to avoid walks on those days between November and February.
