looking for an apartment, where is the best place to start?

Can anyone help, we have just come back from a visit and have been bitten by Carvoeiro, we want a small apartment, Monte carvoeiro looks lovely, any tips?

I'm afraid you just have to go round all the estate agents until you find the right place for you.

I contacted a lot of estate agents thru email and told them what I was looking for, then went out to view a lot of places on my next visit. Its best to go looking for a place outside of the usual rental season as more are available.

this will also give you links to most of the estate agents in CVO

We recently bought a property and found alot of the agents at best useless and totally unreliable. Appointments for viewings that were booked and then confirmed, never materialised. We were let down time and time again and were on the point of giving up.
I have to say this guy was fantastic he stood out head and shoulders above the rest. He called when he said he would and response time was quick and he was certainly on the ball.
Tell him what you are looking for and he will do all the legwork and has all the contacts. Good Luck and I hope you achieve your dream.

A good starting point is http://algarve-property.com/algarve-pro ... asp?bhcp=1 It has the properties from about 40 agents on its site and allows you to search by type, area and price. It gives contact details for all the agents so you can call them directly about any properties that interest you.
