This is roy4eyes's local. Anyone spotted him yet? When you do, tell him it's his round!

Been 3 times - put everything on your tab - said no problem as Interpol have your details
P.S. Why is this not in the restaurant section

Perhaps this photo will help. Roy is on the right. As you can see, without sunglasses on he is quite easy to recognise.roy4eyes wrote:...................and I thought I was in disguise with my sunglasses on

Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
We went with a party of twelve at lunch time. The food was good but the service left something to be desired. We had to wait a very long time and the waitress was sullen and unhelpful. We had the nerve to ask for butter with our bread and were told that the Portuguese did not have butter and when the bill arrived they had added six euros on for the privilege. A large table with a family of Portuguese were given priority service when they arrived leaving us waiting once more. We will not be returning.
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
Now for the serious stuff. Having only had 3 lunches this has to an interim report on my local.
Decor excellent, food good - quality similar to Barca Velhe and Fatacil but quanties less - service not as good.
At the opposition for €7.50 you get butter with your bread, soup and and at Fatacil any type of coffee or tea.
Here butter is extra and coffe is a bica with no option - I asked for a white coffee and was charged €1.25 - not the difference between a bica and a cafe con leite of €0.50.
Service is a bit slow for a workers lunch and apart from Christina lacks warmth.
These things in isolation sound nit-picking, but together and, bearing in mind the competition, can make the difference between success and failure - so let's hope these are initial teething problems.
The BoaVistians are thrilled to have the place open and I will certainly be using it for my sundowners and hope to soon try it for an evening meal and increase my rating from 5/10 to 7 or 8/10 (it is not in competition with the BonBon's and Pimenta Preta's of the world !!).

Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
I never liked them at Primavera - the food's average - the place is OK but nothing special - so nothing's changed in my world - I'll be giving it a wide berth

Roy
where is Barca Velhe?
where is Barca Velhe?
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
Part of the Fatacil development - on the road from Lagoa to Vale de Rei.
You will see the new decking outside with menu clearly displayed.
We normally look at the menus for both Fatacil restaurant(displayed on a yellow board outside) and Barca Velha, and then decide which we prefer. Between the two you should find something to your taste.
Look forward to your report.

Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
As Roy said for we Boavistans it is the answer to a prayer, we now have somewhere within easy walking distance
and at very reasonable prices.
It is certainly popular with many German visitors.
It does not pretend to be fine dining and I think it will do very well in the evenings.
We will certainly use it and I know that our guests will.
