Daisy - An update

Fantastic news !
Well done to those people who have made such a difference to Daisy's life .
Plenty of us talk about and have opinions on how we should like to help and make changes , whether it be for humans , animals or whatever but it takes a special kind of person to carry it through and do something about it.
Its lovely to see Daisy looking so well and happy .

I am not sure if her owners are coming over this year. They were neighbours of our friends, Andy & Leslie, but now they have returned to live in the UK we probably won't be seeing them. If we drive by and see their car parked in the driveway we'll pop in and ask after Daisy.

Doesn't she look beautiful, the very first photo's you posted of her were awful I see so many dogs out here with the same condition it's miserable. So nice to see a happy ending. Lots of TLC, works for us all.

When you see the poor thing when she was first mistreated it was gut wrenching. Now she is full of life, in very good health, in a loving home and will have many years with a loving family. Abusing innocent animals is the worse form of behaviour. All they want is love and affection and Daisy here has an abundance of that here.

I have a sad addition to this happy tale. Last August, Daisy's friend, Jasper died. He was an old hound, much loved by his family, and, though it is still painful for them to think of him, they wanted me to let you know.

Even as I write this I have an overwhelming sadness come over me. We (Sharen and I) saw him not long before he died, and he was a friend to us too.

I hope she doesn't mind me saying it but Sue's(Bruce) beloved labarador passed away on Saturday morning, He was called Harry and he was a really big handsome fellow. Sue e-mailed me a picture of him a few months back and he looked so majestic surveying "his" surroundings. Last Friday he was fine; full of energy and on Saturday morning he had trouble breathing and he couldn't move. His heart couldn't take the strain. The vet suggested that Harry should not suffer but go with dignity so that decision was made. An awful decision to have to make but the most kindest decision. I will say poor Sue but not poor Harry as he had a great life with loving owners who adored him. I heard so many lovely 'tails' about him.
