Car Hire

Post by c-com »

Hi guys

Long time since I last stayed in Carvoeiro - This time I am staying at Vale de Mihlo and I am told I will need a car for visits to the supermarket etc. As I have spent the last three years driving 50 mile each way to work I really didn't want to do too much time behingd the wheel. Anyway assuming that I do rent a car, I have been advised that Auto Dourada are as good as anyone - any comments

 Hi, don't know about Auto Dourada but if you click on the link on the homepage of this site you will go to Algarvedriver.com. We have used them for most of this year, six times now, and have found them very good, we pick up our car from the airport, which is quick and easy, and return it there, but I think you can also collect from Carvoeiro. Have a fun time

Hi c-com,

If you book from www.algarvedriver.com you can have the car delivered in Vale de Milho at no extra cost; just book and select "delivery in the Algarve" as pick up location, then add your address in the comments field.

I arrive in Carvoeiro on Saturday for a fortnight, and have paid £90 per week for a small car. Last time we got a brand new Punto frop Europ-car. The people I use act as a broker and you get allocated one of the firms with a desk in Faro. Last time everything was great.... let me know if you want the details

Hi Apricot,

Then you could have saved 7£ by booking at www.algarvedriver.com and have had a free day towards a free week in the low season with the bonus scheme.

It's just a pain the extras some of them seem to add on once you go to pick it up in terms of extra insurance.

Ours were all paid upfront so no unexpected surprises!
