Bus service?
Bus service?
Hi we are coming to CVO next week for the first time and staying in Val di Milho. From looking on the map it seems a long walk into the centre from where we are so I was wondering if there was a good local bus service that ran in the evenings? We have left it too late to book a car and rates are too high anyway
thanks in advance for any tips

Re: Bus service?
No bus, get some phone numbers of a few of the local taxies so you can call one when you want to go into the village, a call out adds 80cents to your fare but you should still only pay about 5€ for your trip and get dropped outside your requested destination. Remember usually only 4 to a taxi so if you are a larger group find the number for one of the peoplecarriers who can usually take 6.

Thanks Jaylay. There are 5 of us so we are used the problem of not all fitting in a cab. Any recommended taxi firms? 5 euros doesn't sound too bad be happy to pay that rather than a long walk! Thanks again

Thanks for your help guys. While I'm on a roll, what are the recommended restaurants in the vicinity of Val de Milho?

Vale do Milho Restaurant - great Portuguese fayre in a traditional setting and sensibly priced. Fernando and his team will do you proud. It's closed on Mondays.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
