Logs (and the increase in price)

When I phoned our usual supplier he told us the price of logs had gone up from €130 a tonne to €165 a tonne - this is delivered and stacked price.

Have other people found this big increase or do we have to look for another supplier this year ?

As usual your advice will be appreciated -not only by us but also by the guy who sells them at a more reasonable price

The price curve should start flattening off soon. It's logarithmic

ITs simply supply and demand. because of the cold winter last year many of the suppliers exhausted their stocks and they are probably anticipating another cold winter and higher demand.

Whatever your price negotiations make sure you get the logs in before any significant rain comes along otherwise you will be paying for the water weight as well
