I'm pretty sure you can get a bus on a Sunday. Can't say how much a taxi would be at night but I don't expect it would break the bank. It's around 12 miles via the N125 but I think the old bridge is open again and that's probably the route the taxi would take. I'm guessing that's around 8 miles.

Buses are a hit and miss situation on Sundays. Probably advisable for a taxi. We got stuck in Lagoa as they are very infrequent on a Sunday, just as the UK is. Bloody long walk home in the mid day sun back in 2005. I had just got out of hospital with pneumonia and just got the all clear for our flight the day before as long as I only sat by the pool on hols and did not walk anywhere. Did most walking ever that trip, including the darn walk from Lagoa as we could not find a taxi either.
So I really suggest booking a cab and getting their tel no for when you want to return back to CVO.
Have a great hols.

Our apartment is in Portimao and often get a taxi, even in the early hours, the cost is always about the same. €20 - €22 each way. If you are driving, however, it is very easy to find and a free car park just outside the football stadium. If you do decide to drive, PM me and I will give you directions.

Is the bridge open across to Portimao now, I was told it would open in the middle of July.
