Read Carol's newsletter where she shares her experiences, and you can also see some lovely pictures of the new Bote.
Went there a couple of times this last week.
The decor downstairs is really extraordinary (check out the picture link from the July Newsletter), upstairs is a lot like the Nicci Beach style, except the staff here is a lot friendlier. Upstairs outside terrace is the smoking area.
The music varies over the evening and event nights will have DJs or live music preformances, but it is mostly calm, chilled out sound.
Prices are on par with what you would expect for location and style, €2.50 for a 0,33 Sagres - no complaints. (except the first Martini they served me, that was too small but the second made up for it.
)
I gather they are going to work as a snack bar in the afternoons, but I have not been to see for myself yet.

I thought the place was really nice and the terrace upstairs lovely. However the music was neither chilled or calm it was so loud we couldnt hear each other and gave up talking. I thought the place looked like it was aimed for a more mature audience
but the music was geared for 16 to 18 year olds. Will give it another go though just incase that was a one off as they have made a lovely job of it.
