Because of volcanic ash from an eruption in Iceland yesterday it looks like that the majority of flights from UK airports will be cancelled today.
Some hope to re open this afternoon.
Bristol ( well to the SW ) has already cancelled its Faro flights ( one of many ).
What happens to all those flying back today who have no where to stay ??

We have just turned around on way to Prestwick Airport (Scotland) on advice not to travel to airport. Have managed to re book for tomorrow but Met Office now saying it may take few days to clear. Fingers crossed we'll get to Carvoeiro at some point over the weekend to enjoy the lovely weather!!!!!!

I've just had a call from clients at Faro. Flights are being rebooked for them for Saturday. I just wish the weather was better out there at the moment because at least then they could have a few more days in the sun!
