WALK - MONDAY 9 NOVEMBER 2020 - ODELOUCA - CLOSED

Linda and Russell will be leading this walk. We will walk in 2 x groups of 5, so only 8 more places available. As numbers are limited David and Mieke have offered to lead additional walks on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. We would appreciate it if people dont book both walks so other people have a chance to go on a guided walk. Sorry we can only accept regular CVO walkers at the moment.
The first group of walkers will leave 10 minutes before the 2nd group. There may be an opportunity to stay for lunch at the restaurant after the walk and enjoy the set menu. This will be on tables of 5 or less. Please respect the CV19 rules and respect social distancing.
The walk is only 8kms but there are lots of ups and downs, some reasonably steep but all on good tracks. We will be able to see the municipal tip in the distance but this can be a bonus as there are usually lots of birds. Further along we pass by orange groves and enjoy some good views up to Alferce.
Degree of Difficulty : It is a grade 3.5 due to the number of ups and downs. The usual rules apply, walk at your own risk, bring water and a pole if you use one, no charge, plus the new social distancing rules.
Meeting Point: Restaurant Ourique. Start at 10.00 for the first group. The cafe should be open for coffee for those walking with the 2nd group.

Directions: Drive along the N125 to the the Portimao/Monchique exit and follow the N124 directions Monchique/Silves. At the roundabouts keep right and follow the signs for Silves. The restaurant is on the right side of the road on a sharp bend before Odelouca. Please park just before the restaurant.
